In the field of fine arts, sculpture is one of the plastics arts (along with other visual arts like painting, drawing, architecture, etc.). Sculpture traditionally consisted of several processes like carving or modelling in materials as clay, stone, metal, wood and ceramics but, since Modernism there has been a freedom of materials and processes and we consider that sculpture is the work of a sculptor.

ACTIVITY:
We are going to make a sculpture from a piece of paper. First, we will make a scale model or rough draft and then we will sculpt the final work with different materials.
1. Eight drafts (at least) from square pieces of paper of side 10,5 cm each. You can blend them as many times as you want, but you can only make three cuts. See image 1 and 2
2. Select the two ones you like most, take its measurements and draw a sketch.
3. With different materials make the two final sculptures three times bigger.
4. You can paint or decorate the final sculptures adding materials, using colors, etc.
5. Take photographs of all the process.

No hace
